It\u2019s a universal language \u2013 one that will prove just as effective (in the short-term, at least) in everyday scenarios as it will in the most exclusive, luxury industries. Explosive signs, red numbers slashed down the middle \u2013 turning on your prices may feel a little brutal but hey, it works, right?<\/p>\n<p>Well\u2026 as we say, it works in the short term. It\u2019s a great way to get your feet through the door and look at what\u2019s to offer \u2013 maybe even make a purchase. But what\u2019s next?<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t keep running those discounts, or those discounts (with their slimmer margins) will soon become your \u2018new normal\u2019 and, eventually, you\u2019ll have to discount\u00a0<em>those<\/em>\u00a0prices and shave your margins even thinner. Rewind, start again,\u00a0<em>to infinity and beyond<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re big supporters of investing your money and faith into\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.incentivesmart.com\/customer-loyalty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">customer loyalty<\/a>, but no company is aiming for stagnation.
